My son was diagnosed with a form of Autism in 2009. His condition is called PDD-NOS. I'm not sure why, but I didn't really share that he had this condition. I wasn't ashamed, I wasn't embarrassed, it was just private. And then I met a woman who also has a son with Autism. She was vocal, she was honest. She inspired me. My oldest daughter, Haley, ran the race as well and she set a new 5K PR. She is amazing and I am so proud of her. We have a LOT of 5K's planned throughout the year, so I can only imagine that she is going to continue to set new PR's with every race.
I'll be getting up a full post about all of that later, but in the meantime, enjoy a little... [More]

This is Week 2 of the Whole30. I’ve pinned a bunch of Whole30 friendly recipes and I’m ready to share my meal plan with you, but first a quick re-cap of week 1.
Week 1 went okay. I stayed on plan but I’m much more tired than I thought I would be. I didn’t take a nap any day last week, and have been going at my normal pace, but I think not drinking as much coffee is having a greater impact than I thought it would. Doing a WOD first thing in the morning (9am) also seemed t... [More]
