May The Fourth Be With You

1. May 2013 18:56 by Jenny | 6 Comments

May 4th is Star Wars Day!! It falls on a Saturday this year which means once we've exhausted the kids from playing all day, we'll snuggle up on the couch and begin a Star Wars Marathon. We'll watch them in order which the kids will find entertaining because they always notice how the cinematography changes, and they love to point it out to us. Cause you know us old folks don't notice stuff like that. My family LOVES Star Wars. The kids know the music, the composer, can listen to a track and tel... [More]

Do you have an anchor? Fierce Forward Giveaway

30. April 2013 11:47 by Jenny | 5 Comments

Do you have an anchor? Throughout my weight loss and fitness journey I had anchors. It was something that I could look at that would remind me of WHY I started this whole transformation in the first place. One of my "big" anchors is my Weight Watchers key chain and all the "tokens" that I earned for a specific amount of weight lost. I earned the key chain for 10% of my body weight lost, and then the disc's are for 25lb, 50lb, 75lb, 100lb, etc...lost. But wait...there's more I earned the ... [More]

There is NO one way to do something. We all need to keep growing, keep seeking, keep learning. I can help you, just ask. But realize that what worked for ME, might not be the right choice for YOU.... Meal Planning: Whole 30 Week 4

27. April 2013 18:03 by Jenny | 2 Comments

Is it already the start of week 4? I was talking to my husband and kids last night and they were shocked to learn that I haven't had ketchup in 20 days. I LOVE ketchup. Seriously. I love it on eggs, chicken, pretty much if anything can be dipped in a condiment, I'm dipping it in ketchup. I've been this way since I was a little girl and without a doubt this has been the longest I've ever gone without my beloved ketchup. When we were in New York City they had a piece of ketchup artwork and I ha... [More]

Let the Kids be Kids-Come to Jesus Friday

25. April 2013 21:38 by Jenny | 0 Comments

Do elementary aged kids need to be involved in organized sporting activities? Are there other options to keep them active and #pushawaythescreen?I think so. I think that kids should not have to be forced to do something that they don't want to do. Just because YOU did it as a child doesn't mean it's right for YOUR child. Sure, let your kid explore options and find what works for THEM, and if it turns out that organized sporting activities aren't right for your kids at this young age, it doesn't ... [More]
