MONSTER JAM® 2016 roars into Raymond James Stadium on January 16th and February 6th

My family LOVES Monster Jam! . You can read about our experience last year HERE

Monster Jam was kind enough to invite us back again for the 2016 show in Tampa, and we're super excited!

We've gone for the past three years and have learned a lot of tricks along the way that will make our fourth year the best year yet!

For our family we've determined that we do NOT need to go to the pit party before the event. It just makes for a very long day for us and with a special needs son, a long day is not always a fun day.

We also eat food before we get to the stadium. Stadium food is PRICEY, so we eat somewhere along Dale Mabry as we are driving down. Sweet Tomatoes is always a favorite Smile

Bring noise reducing headphones. It doesn't mean you have to use them, but they are a nice option to have.

Those are my biggest tips. Now here is some information about the show:

The event will feature some of the most well known Monster Trucks including Grave Digger, El Toro Loco, Avenger, and Brutus. There will be others too but these are our favorite.

If you decide to visit The Party in the Pits, that event runs from 1:30pm-5:00pm and is included with your admission ticket. At the Party in the Pits you can get a close up view of the trucks and even meet some of the drivers! Super cool if you are into that sort of thing Wink

Tickets are on sale NOW and start at just $16 which is a great deal and makes for a super fun night out on the town for the family!

I have a family 4 pack of tickets to giveaway to the January 16th show!! Simply leave me a comment answering these two questions: Have you been to a Monster Jam event? Which truck is your favorite?

Winner will be chosen at random on Tuesday January 5th.

Goodbye 2015, Hello 2016

Goodbye 2015. Now it's time to reflect on how the year went and set some new goals for 2016.

These were my 2015 goals:

1) Walk at least 1 mile every single day. Rain or shine. Hot or cold. I love walking and I've been taking a 1 mile walk every afternoon during my lunch break.

2) Save money. I'm going to do the 52 week money challenge.

And guess what?? I DID IT!!!

So here we go!

NEW GOALS FOR 2016

  1. Have a monthly date with my husband. It doesn't have to be a formal get dressed up and head out on the town, but just something that we can do together, outside the house, with NO kids. It can be a bike ride, a movie, dinner, a drink at our local bar. Something. Anything. Our kids are getting older and more responsible so it's time for James and I to recapture some of ourselves back, some time to be Jenny & James and not mom and dad.
  2. Be healthy. And yes, that is pretty open-ended. But I need to lose some weight (again) and although all my blood work is perfect, I am having issues with my feet and I'm sure some of those issues are caused by carrying around too many pounds. But I don't want to crash diet, nor do I want to over exercise. Both of which I'm really really good at, but I can't maintain that for long.
  3. TRACK TRACK TRACK. Going right along with #2, in being more healthy, I need to honestly track everything that is going in my mouth. I also need to be better about getting my butt to a Weight Watchers meeting. I pay for monthly meetings, but haven't gone. Sigh. I need to change that.
  4. Wog at work. I made this a goal last year and I've gotten in the habit, so I'm going to keep doing it. I wog a minimum of 2 miles every single day I am at work.
  5. Spend 1:1 time with each of the kids. I've also been really good about this, so I'm going to keep it up.

Now how about you?? What are some of your goals for 2016?

Don't miss out on the circus in Tampa-2016

Growing up in Venice, the circus is a big part of my history.

There were many many "Circus Parades" where we would watch the train come into the station and unload the animals. The trainers would then walk the animals over the "circus bridge." The elephants were always my favorite.

It's not too late to get your tickets to this show!

Give the gift of amazement with daring feats from fearless daredevils, exotic performers from faraway lands and majestic animals. The gift of wonder fits perfectly under the tree, extend the magic of the season into 2016 by attending Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® Presents LEGENDS.
